Overview
The Director, Consumer Data Management will play an integral role across the Strategy, Consumer Engagement and Marketing Data and Technology teams. As the go to person for consumer data growth opportunities, availability, activation guidelines and best practices, the Director will oversee email engagement programs and will work with teams across NBC Sports group to identify addressable audiences to be leveraged across campaigns spanning digital, programmatic, email, etc. In working across the Sports Group businesses, the Director will be responsible for working across the supporting teams to ensure to correct tools, tagging and implementation are in place to facilitate increased segmentation capabilities, to drive robust consumer data engagement campaign. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of 1st, 2nd & 3rd party consumer data across all channels/platforms, collection and activation best practices, combined with a strong analytical skill set.

Work across NBC Sports Group and NBC Universal to manage audiences both known and anonymous from all available channels. Oversight and coordination of consumer data collection and audience activation across NBC sports Group, NBCU and Partners, understanding usage capabilities across various 3rd party platforms (i.e. Facebook, Google, ad networks, etc.), while staying informed and aligned with data and privacy legal requirementsDevelop and oversee strategy implementation of data driven email marketing program, growth initiatives and best practices across NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, RSNs and Rotoworld, ensuring effective engagement and acquisition funnelOversee implementation of data tagging, campaign tagging and tracking across platforms to enable deeper understanding of consumer behaviors and audience generation both across NBC Sports Group and NBCUniversal Collaborate across NBC Sports group to drive consolidation of tools and tagging connected to consumer behavior tracking, as well as tools to take action on consumer data. Will act as a resource to discover, share, and leverage best practices across all business unitsAssist with strategy and planning of promotional tactics, providing insights regarding consumer data availability and usage guidelines to reach prospective customers tied to business prioritiesConduct market research to follow trends and competition

Basic Qualifications
  • Proven CRM, consumer data work experience
  • 2+ years Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
  • Advanced knowledge of deployment of trigger-based lifecycle programs
  • Solid background in customer acquisition strategies, campaign tagging ad tracking
  • Technical expertise with CRM and analytical systems
