As the Executive Producer you will be responsible for helping create and drive the vision for profitable mobile games around a strategic slate, as well as managing relationships across NBC Universal and with external partners. You will own the execution of the product through the development cycle, from concept through pre-production to global launch and live operations to sunset. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of creative, technical, project and product management and specifically managerial experience within the mobile games space.
As Executive Producer, you will be hands-on in the development of games and be part of the leadership of the games group by managing a high performing team and the aforementioned slate of products. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Production and works with all business stakeholders for every published game, license and/or integration around the Comcast/NBC Universal family of intellectual property.
Essential Responsibilities:Help develop and drive the vision for the business around a strategic slate of games, and delivering an optimal balance of business acumen, design and product management perspectives into the process from the earliest stages of product lifecycle.Oversee the development and production of free to play mobile games through understanding best in class creative, product and project management skills.Once the game is live, partner with our internal product management and external partners on the execution and quality of live ops and feature roadmap. Specifically managing to product key performance indicators and expected revenue or defined success criteria.Manage the day-to-day activities of a production team while maintaining close communication with external developers to ensure they meet deadlines, objectives and quality standards.Manage, develop and inspire team members while creating strong positive relationships with the entire staff, including peers.Partner closely with the Games division leadership team to deliver on short-term and long range development objectives by translating those objectives into clear operation and action plans.Focus on risks assessment, define mitigation plans that deliver on great outcomes for the product.Attract, develop, inspire, and lead high performing team members, creating a culture that motivates and retains world-class talent required for success.Look for new opportunities in developing areas of the mobile games market, leveraging a deep understanding of the constantly evolving market, emerging technologies and potential partners.Partner closely with the publishing and technology teams, leveraging data science, player insights, market feedback, as well as platform and channel expertise to drive effective go to market strategies around product features and live operations roadmaps developed in support of this.
•10+ years relevant work experience including a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Senior Producer or Director developing free to play mobile games.
•4+ years’ experience managing game teams in mobile development.
•Must have a passion for mobile games and strong understanding of free to play mobile market with understanding of both development and the business model to support successful titles.
•Understanding of KPIs, including but not limited to MAU, DAU, ARPPU, ARPI, ROAS and conversion rates.
•Strong track record overseeing published game titles, live services, and games as a service on mobile devices globally.
•Proven track record in building highly effective interpersonal business relationships and generating business success in a highly matrixed organization.
•Ability to project manage and work effectively under deadlines and in complex business environments.
•Understanding of how to work with intellectual property and to work with both property owners and/or talent around these properties and translate that into a successful project strategy.
•Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally.
