Director, Operations, Toys and Hardlines
As the Director, Operations Toys and Multi-Category at Universal Brand Development you will be an integral leader across operations within the Consumer Products team.

Your mission as Director, Operations is to build operational excellence through partnerships and processes that both elevate business performance and ignite a culture of creativity, innovation and strategic planning. This includes responsibility for project management of critical, cross functional initiatives within Toy. You are a change leader who will work proactively, in partnership with the Consumer Products executive team and various business and franchise units to help operationalize the company's strategy across Toys 365 day product development, inventor relations and content integration.

In this role, you will report to the Vice President, Operations and work in close partnership with the SVP, Product Development, Toys and Hardlines.

Job Responsibilities
The Director, Operations Toys and Hardlines role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks/duties:
  • Scope, design, and lead product development planning projects end-to-end to enable and support key strategic priorities.
  • Optimize how executive and business leaders make decisions within and across key projects and operational processes including monthly and quarterly check-ins.
  • Drive alignment with both internal and external stakeholders via regular check-ins/milestones to help ensure joint priorities are met -- help drive meetings, capture takeaways, and work with all stakeholders to monitor progress/achievement.
  • Proactively, identify, manage and drive efficiency within key operational processes including long-range planning, asset planning, budgeting, forecasting.
  • Proactively, identify and develop short range toy planning processes, as needed by multi-category or seasonal programs.
  • Build the Inventor Relations program, in partnership with SVP Toys product development. Operationalize the Inventor Relations pipeline from submission to execution, across legal, contract and product development lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, both external and internal LOB, PD and Franchise Strategy, Creative and Assets.
  • Source, process and report on data to improve the operational infrastructure of our business.
  • Optimize organizational effort to drive business growth, measure success and learn from failures through established key performance indicators.
  • Champion and model effective proactive collaboration and communication to drive best results.
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product development operations, business operations, with a track record of increasing responsibility in driving and executing transformational projects in the toy, technology, innovation, consumer products, e-commerce, or interactive entertainment industries.

    •Bachelor's degree
    •7+ years of experience

    Eligibility Requirements:
    •Willing and able to travel extensively, sometime with short notice, domestically and internationally.
