Graphic Design/Communication Coordinator

The junior-level Graphic Design/Communications Coordinator is a key member of the communications team within the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office of Communications (DOC). 

The multi-talented Graphic Design/Communications Coordinator will design and produce graphic elements and marketing collateral, including logotypes, brochures, invitations, fact sheets, event fliers, advertisements, PowerPoint presentations, webpage and social media assets, and other materials, and support events with photography. The successful candidate must possess top-notch writing, grammar and proofreading skills, as she/he will write brief news items and short feature stories, and correspond with university administration, faculty, and staff.  Additionally, she/he will coordinate the department’s editorial calendar, assist with marketing campaigns, and organize and maintain creative assets. 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a non-profit or for-profit setting
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint
  • College-level writing/editing skills
  • Creative problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency with digital photography
  • Excellent project management skills
  • HTML and CMS skills a plus
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • The incumbent should be dependable, able to work independently, and able to manage shifting priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to travel, as required, to the University’s Westchester, NY, campus
  • Must be able to occasionally work extra hours
  • Bachelor degree in communications, graphic design, or related field, is required
