Job Description:

Manager, Brand Activation & REGGIE Awards, is a self-starter/self-motivated individual who can work both autonomously and collaboratively to achieve success.  This position has dual responsibility for managing various events logistics needs within the Brand Activation Division as well as shared duties as assigned in managing the division’s REGGIE Awards.

Event Logistics

  • Lead and execute certain marketing logistics (including developing copy, directing creative development and production) and distribution required for some of the Division’s Conferences and regional Committee Meetings
  • Responsible for Committee meeting logistics and certain 1-Day meeting logistics, including speaker/sponsor coordination, acquiring headshots/bios and session title/abstracts
  • Support the Conferences team with logistics coordination and on-site execution for certain shared-responsibility events
  • The key point of contact for marketing and pre-event through post-event execution of regional Committee meetings including partnering cross-functionally to deliver event goals – awareness, engagement, attendance
  • Manage speaker/sponsor coordination
  • Assist Director, Brand Activation Division in brainstorming speakers, topics, venues, outreach initiatives
  • Ensure website content is for responsible meetings is always up to date via CMS
  • Create and schedule email marketing campaigns to recruit attendance


You will also manage and execute, as assigned, duties within the REGGIE award process as directed by the Brand Activation Director & SVP, as well as the VP, ANA Awards Programs.  There is another Manager within the team that will also have different REGGIE Awards duties. Some of the REGGIE Awards related responsibilities may include:


  • Research, reporting and providing input in Annual Planning and Lessons Learned processes
  • Developing and implementing new ideas to grow the overall REGGIES program
  • Managing annual review of categories to accurately reflect industry and competitive change
  • Managing and updating the REGGIE Awards web site including working with outside vendors
  • Managing the judging process, including recruiting judges and assigning them to teams to minimize competitive conflicts and counsel judges on the criteria/expectations
  • Handling customer service for entrants on their technical requirements/questions
  • Managing notification to all finalists
  • Coordination with outside vendors and ANA Conferences team on the GALA event including emcee, talent, rehearsals
  • Working with MarComm to create Marketing support materials, including book, postcard, Gala program, REGGIE-Worthy certificate, and others
  • Management of outside vendors for the creation and delivery of physical awards
  • Updating the REGGIE Searchable Database
  • “Selling” Gala tickets and additional Awards to REGGIE winners


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have 3-5+ years of business experience in a related meeting or event planning role
  • Proficient in Outlook Email and Calendar, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Keynote, Internet research, Adobe Acrobat
  • Marketing knowledge/understanding/experience required (with a preference for Brand Experience preferred with CRM Database, Content Management Systems, Marketing Platforms, Webinar Systems
  • Activation and/or Event Marketing experience)
  • Having some experience managing, working on award programs a plus
  • Budget management



  • Ability to successfully multi-task and execute several events at varying phases in the event process

  • Assist Director, Brand Activation Division, in brainstorming speakers, topics, venues, growth/retention strategies, attendee outreach, etc.
  • Partner cross-functionally (ANA Sponsorship, Conferences, Member Relations, Marketing, Content, Research, Creative, IT Teams) to deliver on goals – awareness, engagement, attendance


  • Strong Client-facing/ relationship building skills with co-chairs, members, potential speakers, etc.
  • Effective written and verbal communication between internal and external teams

Industry Awareness

  • Passionate about staying up to date with the Marketing Industry (specifically Brand Activation) needs, news, research, technology/tools, trends, potential speakers, topics, etc.


  • Actively promotes Brand Activation Division events, content, training, research, and other offerings to ANA membership and prospects to build Brand Activation awareness and adoption
  • Constantly seeking to improve processes, member experience, and grow attendance
  • Creative storytelling/photography/graphics for social media posts, blog posts, newsletters, flyers, other marketing to build brand activation and awareness
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; seeks innovative and low-cost ways to deliver on goals


  • Ability to travel approx. 20% of the time
