SHE Media: Senior Manager, Brand Partnerships: Live Media


The Brand Partnerships, Live Media role will be responsible for sponsorship revenue for Live Media partnerships – the events business arm of SHE Media. The Live Media group produces our established BlogHer Series and signature events throughout the year. BlogHer was founded on the premise that women’s collective voices hold boundless power. Celebrating the women who tell their stories to inspire and educate communities around the world, BlogHer events bring together over 2,000 influencers and content creators with our immersive and inspiring events.

This position will generate revenue across several categories and sell across both BlogHer event series and bespoke events. This is a new business sales role, which will focus on identifying prospects and generating new revenue from untapped sponsors. 

The ideal candidate is a proactive thinker who is self-motivated, thrives on energy, creativity and has success with strong prospecting skills. This position will report to the VP, Brand Partnerships at SHE Media.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify new leads and sponsorships opportunities across industries and key verticals to close new business.
  • Grow sponsorship revenue
  • Conduct research and prospect to maintain a healthy pipeline of business
  • Emphasis on building client direct relationships and PR agency client list
  • Work collaboratively on all business development opportunities from inception of the proposal and pitch, creation of the agreement to execution on-site at events in conjunction with the event marketing and production teams.
  • Create custom proposals for clients which are creative, strategic, competitive and meet client objectives while driving revenue to key events within the Live Media portfolio
  • Work with VP, Live Media & Strategic Partnerships on forecasting revenue to hit quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Attend events both for the brand and for business development purposes


  • Minimum 5 - 10 year sales experience or similar background, area of sponsorship is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in prospecting, researching and both phone and in person sales calls
  • Active listening skills to hear the needs of prospective clients, and ability to build out a customized program that truly aims to achieve the company’s goals
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • High energy, self-motivated individual
  • An analytical and strategic marketing mindset
  • Consultative selling process
  • Experience selling multi-platform partnerships with a strong understanding of digital media. Experience in influencer marketing a plus
  • Excellent business presentation skills including strong verbal communication. Must be comfortable presenting and speaking to large groups at client and agency meetings
  • Proven ability to meet stretch sales goals in a challenging environment
