Role Purpose
The Director, E! Current Production will report directly to the SVP, E! Current Production and is responsible for the creative oversight of selected shows from pre-production through post. This position will be involved in all of the creative discussions and decisions about casting, format, storylines, editorial, etc. on assigned shows and will be the main point of contact at E! for the production companies. This executive will serve as the liaison internally at the company and communicate show creative and information to various departments (Ad Sales, Marketing, PR, Scheduling, etc.).
This role requires an understanding of production (both in studio and the field) with knowledge of various unscripted genres including docuseries, comedic formats, talk shows and game shows.


Responsibilities:
  • Serve as executive on selected shows, acting as a liaison to the marketing, publicity, ad sales, and digital teams for those projects
    Provide creative insight in pre-production on format, storylines, casting, locations, etc.
  • Provide notes and guide editorial on all cuts from rough cut to locked picture cut
  • Manage talent where necessary on selected shows
    Serve as the point person for the production company at E!
  • Liaise with sales team and Production Company to provide integration ideas and supervise integration execution on set
  • Supervise and conceptualize the production elements of the digital materials that emanate from assigned shows- i.e. webisodes/extra scenes/blogs etc
  • Problem solve show issues
  • Attend shoots regularly (may require travel), and work with finance and Production Management to solve budget issues
  • Manage and communicate the flow of information, materials, dates, schedules etc. to SVP and greater team


  • Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of current production and/or development experience
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
