NBCUniversal Entertainment First Run Syndication is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, full-time team player to help lead the digital editorial team for “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
The Supervising Producer, Digital will report to the Executive Editor, Digital of The Kelly Clarkson Show and will be responsible for working with a team of social media editors, digital video editors, producers and content creators for the Kelly Clarkson Digital team. The Supervising Producer Digital will oversee clipping of the Kelly Clarkson Show for digital platforms, provide assignments to the team in order to execute a multi-platform content rollout, and will work with the Executive Editor, Digital to execute an overall digital strategy.
The Supervising Digital Producer will also be responsible for writing and publishing content, guiding our content priorities across digital video and text, and working with show producers to maintain the voice and tone of The Kelly Clarkson Show brand.
The ideal candidate should have a keen understanding of The Kelly Clarkson Show audience, be able to contextualize trends using content metrics and analytics tools, and use data-driven analysis and social conversations to determine priorities. He/she should be updated on not only The Kelly Clarkson show but also on general pop culture trends. Management experience is preferred, but not required.
The Supervising Digital Producer will also be expected to work remotely during off-hours, depending on breaking news, as well as cover award shows and annual tentpole events throughout the year.
Execute a digital editorial strategy laid out about the Executive Editor, Digital, which will align with the brand’s overall vision to grow and develop an engaged audience for The Kelly Clarkson show, drive video views (on and off-platform), increase social media engagement, and site traffic. Work with the Executive Editor, Digital to identify and develop additional growth strategies based on insights on emerging platforms including: YouTube, Hulu, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Must be able to then spearhead and execute these strategies.Work with Executive Editor, Digital to identify new ways to create content that will make The Kelly Clarkson Show brand competitive within the daytime talk spaceCreate and maintain an editorial and digital production schedule Identify daily clips to be cut for a multi-platform content rollout across digital and social Work with the Executive Editor, Digital, to develop new digital content franchises and execute those franchises with the teamLead the team to shoot and produce digital segments Skilled producer who can help editors develop their stories and improve their overall product by working with them to identify key elements of a story, locate the best elements to tell a story via UGC or video content we already own and publicly accessible materialsWork with editors to ensure content is being published at the correct timesCopyedit digital video scripts and editorial copy for grammar, tone, punctuation, structure and styleLead coverage on long-lead editorial stories, develop content plans for larger eventsBe able to quickly write, edit and produce stories where neededClosely work with The Kelly Clarkson Show producers and key stakeholder to ensure best effortMust be able to source news on a variety of social media platforms and track trendsConsistently monitor social media sites & digital news outletsIdentify emerging digital and social trends in order to align The Kelly Clarkson show properly and capitalize on traffic Find and pitch story ideas, identify key trendsMaintain the editorial schedule for digital shoots, red carpets and interviews.Work with Executive Editor, Digital to ensure all branded entertainment, integrated posts get executedMust be able to effectively communicate with both Executive Editor and other staff members about where stories are atMust be able to handle the distribution of content and syndication of content across multiple platformsResponsible for any daily editorial for The Kelly Clarkson show special projects, potentially including sweepstakes, affiliate station requests, social media requests, symphony requests etc .
• Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a talk show environment, daily production or entertainment or lifestyle news
• Extremely proficient in social media, SEO and digital platforms and how they influence news production
• Extremely proficient in analytics and be able to change digital strategy based on data
• Skilled digital producer with an eye for breakout moments and how to craft a digital video story
