The Specialist, Digital Operations is responsible for running the day-to-day operations for the Marketplace and Drop Ship programs, as well as supporting the delivery of front end website projects. This individual will work in partnership with Sellers, Suppliers, IT, Order Fulfillment, Marketing, Merchandising, and Customer Service teams to maintain a continual focus on quality customer experience and successful engagement with the Barnes and Noble brand. They will assist the Managers of these programs in the managing the daily business, interaction with partners selling on our site, participation in project management of Site Operations projects, and in driving program KPIs.

Essential Functions :

• Manage Marketplace and Drop Ship portals, ensuring the platforms are operational and needed insights to drive the business are extracted and actioned
• Oversee the onboarding of suppliers and sellers on the site, ensuring partners are added to the B&N ecosystem in a timely fashion to optimize sales opportunities
• Seek new suppliers and sellers to add to the Barnes & Noble Marketplace and Drop ship sites
• Procure financial reporting and insights that will help in monitoring the health of these businesses
• Develop reports and analytics that identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Marketing, Category Management, Product Data, and Experience teams to drive visibility and discoverability of the extended assortment of Barnes & Noble both on the home site and on external search engines
• Provide suggestions and support for process improvements with vendor onboarding and overall management of Marketplace and Drop Ship programs
• Lead and participate in delivery of small Site Operations projects 
• Collaborate on new digital project ideas, with a focus on top and bottom line growth
• Work with Customer Service to ensure prompt research and resolution on any fulfillment issues related to Marketplace and Drop Ship programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years experience in mid to large size eCommerce business
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Digital Marketing experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high quality output simultaneously
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written 
• Highly organized, with strong project management skills
• Demonstrated expertise working with cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of Marketplace and/or Drop Ship programs
