Create content specifically for the NBC Sports Bay Area social media accountsPublish owned-and-operated articles of curated social media content to the NBC Sports Bay Area website and MyTeams appCommunicate effectively with editors, web desk and management in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environmentWork with members of the digital team to brainstorm ideas for forward-looking contentWrite social media captions across all platformsManage internal and external projects and track all progress with daily updates in Trello and BasecampCompile and distribute nightly report to managersAlert digital team of stories trending on social mediaCapture compelling on-site content for use on all platformsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in digital sports content, specifically social media
Strong proficiency of social media platforms and digital media
Experience with Adobe Photoshop / Premiere preferred
Proven demonstration of a compelling social voice
Prior field experience with a team or media organization
Thorough knowledge of Bay Area sports teams
Basic knowledge of search engine optimization and distribution tactics
Basic knowledge of content management systems
