We’re looking for the next creative vanguard in sports digital content. A forward thinker ready to take on challenges in this exciting and fast moving landscape. This is a pivotal time for Golf Channel and GOLFPASS in the digital/social space, and this role presents an exciting opportunity for the right person.
The ideal candidate has experience building, leading and motivating creative teams that deliver world class content, as well as experience in content programming on digital platforms. The candidate should also have a deep knowledge of the business issues in bringing programs from idea to launch. The candidate would ideally have brand experience and be able to evaluate budget allocation and spend based on quantifiable data; the ability to attribute dollars spent to effectiveness is key in budgeting and planning. You will also be working closely with our social media team and helping to support reactive, real-time content.
Must have proven creative instincts and strategic acumen in developing, producing and programming digital media projects, as well as strong interpersonal skills and relationships. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, has a general knowledge of sports digital content, and is up on the latest trends, as well as our competition in the space. It's incumbent upon this individual to have (or develop) an understanding of GOLF Channel /GOLFPASS goals and operations in order to represent our brand responsibly and accurately. Reports directly to the VP of Digital Content.
Experienced in sports (Golf) specific content planning and editorial programming across multiple platforms.
Exercise excellent creative and business judgement.
You’re comfortable being in the weeds with budgets, hiring and planning to support the growth of Golf Channel/GOLFPASS.
You’re results driven and have a solid understanding of how to track and work with performance metrics as they pertain to content creation, budgeting and measuring effectiveness.
Must have well-rounded interpersonal skills and experience interacting with diverse personalities in a fast pace collaborative working environment.
Understand the nuts and bolts of production and comfortably participate in all aspects of pre-production, principal, and post-production (from budget to final delivery) to ensure the quality of the finished product meets Golf Channel/ GOLFPASS’ brand, quality and creative standards.
Must have exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders as well as outside partners, sponsors, and vendors.
8+ years experience working in content programming and content production on digital platforms.
5+ years effectively scaling and leading creative teams.
Ability to strategize and create world-class content from concept to execution.
Existing relationships with creators, directors, producers, production companies, artist representatives and creative community.
Experience in budgeting and planning.
Strong knowledge of the most efficient editing platforms, and production best practices.
Knowledge and passion for golf a plus.
