Job Summary:

As a member of the Institutional Marketing, America's team, the Marketing Assistant will work across the portfolio of Oxford University Press’s digital products, assisting team members in the implementation of a variety of marketing campaigns to library markets in the Americas, with focus on the Latin American library market.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members with all elements of their marketing campaigns using the full marketing mix, including both implementation and response tracking
  • Assist in developing content and collateral for marketing campaigns including flyers, posters, print and digital ads, templates, and email copy
  • Arrange translations of key sales enablement materials and marketing campaigns, and proofread to ensure accuracy for local markets
  • Assist with conference organization, including coordinating material lists and promotional materials, soliciting feedback, and occasionally staffing some select conferences
  • Work on creative content marketing campaigns across multiple social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr), including the OUPblog
  • Liaise closely with colleagues across the business, including regional sales and other marketing teams, to ensure that goals are met and that high-quality campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
  • Respond to and assist with marketing queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with various administrative tasks for the Institutional Marketing team as required

Job Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish required (your focus will be on Latin American library markets) Fluency in Portuguese desirable, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment 
  • Ability to balance a variety of responsibilities and handle many projects simultaneously, efficiently, and accurately 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) necessary 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office a must 
  • Social media and digital marketing experience a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
