Job Purpose:
The Digital Products & Partnerships Manager will manage critical distribution partnerships with traditional and emerging online video distributors and assist in the development of products to drive video usage across a variety of platforms, models, and consumer access points. In addition, they will partner closely with our Sales and Legal teams, building an understanding of key terms in our agreements. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert and product champion communicating across all key stakeholders and will be responsible for managing the requirements, launch, performance and profitability of his/her projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Drive multi-platform video performance and monetization through collaborative programming and product-development initiatives, hands-on project management, and successful cultivation of on-going internal and external partnerships.
  • Gather business requirements across distributors to drive product roadmaps, as well as build a strategic POV on the evolution of digital products to identify new content opportunities and ways to improve the consumer experience.
  • Partner with Tech & Ops teams to ensure that product deployments perform in accordance with client expectations and content distribution rights, understanding legal context and contractual commitments.
  • Utilize data insights, competitive analysis and market trends to assess fit, feasibility, and financial impact of product and partnership growth opportunities; drive projects from conceptualization to completion.
  • Identify and define platform-based business opportunities in collaboration with all departments and levels within the company including Business Development & Sales, Cable and Broadcast Networks, Operations, Finance, Ad Sales, Marketing, Legal and Business Affairs.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years Product/Business Development experience in either the media or tech industry
  • Experience owning and leading partner relationships, and possesses an understanding of the partnership lifecycle
  • Outstanding communication and project management skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations & Research leadership Excellent; effortless ability to translate messages for both business and technical audience
  • Knowledge of emerging media landscape, digital business models and technology
  • Rich quantitative and analytical skill set; ability to interpret data to develop insights, drive decisions and back-up assumptions/recommendations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • MBA a plus, but not required
  • Passion for entertainment, technology and building high quality products for consumers
  • Excellent track record identifying product opportunities and navigating deal requirements for wireless or online products and/or distribution
  • Entrepreneurial, “out of the box” thinker with the ability to craft strategic stories in PowerPoint around business initiatives
  • Tech-savvy with a strong conceptual understanding of digital and mobile technologies, staying abreast of relevant industry trends that could impact the organization’s business short and long-term
  • Experience converting business ideas and research into well-thought-out and timely product releases with an emphasis on revenue and performance
  • Proven ability to develop relationships at all levels with legal, technical, creative, and executive team members, as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to fast changing business conditions
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to step back and understand the bigger picture
