NYC & Company is the official destination marketing organization for the City of New York, dedicated to maximizing travel and tourism opportunities throughout the five boroughs, building economic prosperity and spreading the positive image of New York City worldwide. We are a 501(c)(6), membership-based company representing the interests of 2000-member businesses and organizations.
The Marketing Department is the largest department in the organization, and is responsible for all creative, branding, digital, events, licensed merchandise and partnership initiatives.
The Marketing Intern will provide general support for the Marketing team in a variety of forms. Duties will be varied and could include:
- Competitive analyses
- Data entry
- Working with other departments throughout the organization to provide/obtain information and updates
- Developing presentations
- Social media support
- Some admin functions
- General event assistance
Requirements are a proactive nature, attention to detail, thoughtfulness, great verbal and written communication skills, baseline understanding of integrated marketing channels, and a love of both New York City and travel.
This position is a great development opportunity, and will provide far-reaching exposure to all the varied functions of the marketing department. Specific duties can be customized to suit the expertise of the right candidate.
