ROLE SUMMARY:

NBCUniversal is seeking a Vice President to join the Sales Operations & Commercial Operations division of the Ad Sales Operations group as part of a fast-paced and highly capable team providing strategic and tactical leadership and support to our advertising sales and media business. The Vice President will be focused primarily on NBCU’s digital and linear ad operations executions.

Responsible for managing day-to-day operations for the NBC Sales Ops organization by providing leadership, communication, technical expertise and operational integration within and between all departments in the designated group. Manages team, which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies, assist in development, and meeting of, departmental budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and develop strategic initiatives for Sales Ops Team and assign to staff as appropriate. Provides direction to direct reports in the resolution of complex or exception issues. Collaborates with Leadership to select, train, direct, evaluate, motivate, and develop ops staff.
  • Communicates with sales and operations staff to ensure that all traffic related requirements are met.
  • Ensures procedures and policies are maintained, completes all performance management responsibilities.
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with other departments within the company to ensure business is maximized and issues are resolved effectively.
  • Troubleshoot any ad creative issues that affect tracking implementation, reporting, or quality of advertising.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Customer service mentality; professional communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.
  • Lead education and training on new product/process initiatives to the sales teams
  • Assists other managers on the team with troubleshooting escalations to ensure issues are resolved quickly and steps are taken to mitigate issues from occurring in the future.
  • Assist with pulling and analyzing reports to uncover potential errors/issues before they become revenue impacting. (i.e. error logs in FreeWheel), metrics around staffing load leveling and overtime.


  • • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Ad/Sales Operations
    • Experience in media, advertising, and digital sales and solutions
    • Experience of managing a team
    • Ad serving experience with DFP. (Freewheel is a plus). Experience in Linear Trafficking Systems

    • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and networking skills
    • A strong ability to perform independently and proactively while working in a collaborative team environment
    • Results-driven and focused, combining a quantitative outlook with the ability to organize, motivate and lead senior stakeholders
