SUMMARY:
The Sr. Analyst on the Digital Analytics Team is responsible for regular reporting on the performance of NBC News Digital properties across platforms. They must have a strong understanding of digital analytics, an interest in data programming and experience with data visualization tools. They must also be able to work in fast pace environment, meet aggressive deadlines, prioritize requests from multiple departments and enjoy thinking and learning about data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Think and learn from our digital data to better understand our products and consumers
  • Create and distribute reports that measure the performance of News Digital brands and franchises across digital platforms
  • Find solutions to business questions and requests through data
  • Help build and maintain strategic dashboards that educate internal partners and teams across the organization
  • Regularly monitor the health of the analytics team tracking, segments and data sources


  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • BA/BS or MS degree in a quantitative area of study (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Computer Science)
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Intellectual curiosity and interest in the media industry
    • Fully proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    DESIRED SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:
    • Experience with web and social analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.)
    • Experience with B.I. tools such as Tableau or DOMO
    • Familiarity with data programming languages such as R, Python, etc. or web basics such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS
