Podcast Producer
The Atlanta Journal Constitution is seeking a Podcast Producer who would manage all phases of podcast production, from the gathering of original audio in the field to the editing/production of podcasts in the studio to training staff on best practices, editing and sound design. The podcast specialist will also scout out new apps, ideas and innovative techniques that AJC teams should be embracing.

Key responsibilities will include:
 Produce and edit AJC podcasts including, but not limited to, award-winning Breakdown and popular AccessAtlanta, from initial ideation and narration to sound design to finished product.
 Provide top quality sound design, including enhancing individual audio tracks
 Recording podcast in studio and on scene
 Provide musical and audio tracks to layer in audio storytelling
 Write metadata for each podcasts, including attaching images as needed
 Upload podcast to iTunes and other podcast platforms
 Create consistency across all AJC podcasts so that they have the same quality sound, production, editing that is seamless under one brand.
 Work directly with senior editors, reporters and producers to develop solid podcast ideas and production schedule, particularly for AccessAtlanta and the Things to Do digital team.
 Collaborate with WSB weekly to provide audio/video content for radio and OTT.
 Help teams develop innovative techniques and strategies to maximize exposure and grow audience.
 Develop podcast social strategy to engage new listeners and younger audience
 Work with advertising (across platforms) to respond to revenue needs and opportunities.
 Work with Senior Editor Digital on metric reports and insights on audience and trends. Provide biweekly reports.
 Analyze all current podcasts for research, trends, best practices
 Spend time monthly with corporate team for training and innovation.
 Work with visual’s team to provide regular multimedia support.
Key Skills:
 Experience in sound designing an audio production
 Strong collaborative and creative skills
 Digitally savvy with strong knowledge of use with digital apps
 Strong social media skills
 Exceptional organizational and management skills
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 Bachelor’s degree in communications/technology.
 4+ years of experience working with podcast and/or as a video or multimedia specialists
