The Product Placement Producer is the liaison between Telemundo Studios and Hispanic Client Solutions (HCS). This person is primarily responsible for identifying or creating opportunities to integrate brand or products into Telemundo’s novela content as well as for the planning, development, scripting, production and post-production of such integrations, in collaboration with the HCS Integration Producer, Scripted & Reality.
  • The Product Placement Producer is based at Telemundo Studios and works under the direct supervision of the Product Placement Manager at Telemundo Studios, with additional responsibilities reporting in to the Integrations Producer, Prime Time at Telemundo Network
  • Responsible for reading scripts in advance and fully comprehending settings, story plots, character profiles and other details of the stories in order to identify suitable and appropriate opportunities for product integration
  • Responsible for creating brand integration opportunities, where appropriate, within Telemundo’s novela content – and for scripting these brand integration opportunities.
  • Responsible for internally vetting brand-integrated novela scripts with novela producers, writers, to ensure that proposed integrations are a good fit within the novela storyline
  • Responsible for vetting brand-integrated novela scripts with the HCS Integrations Producer, Scripted and Reality – to ensure that the proposed integrations are aligned with brand objectives and client commitments.
  • Responsible for analyzing creative concepts for products and collaborating with production teams to determine whether the concept/idea is acceptable and can be done
  • Responsible for writing the HCS novela Integration Proposals, in Spanish and English, under the direction of the HCS Integrations Producer, Prime Time and in accordance with the HCS Integration guidelines
  • Responsible for selecting character profiles, identifying appropriate situations in the story, and modifying existing scripts and sharing these materials with the HCS Integrations Producer, Scripted & Reality.
  • Creates reports to keep track of all novela integrations, production dates, frequency, brand, type of integration, cost, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating and tracking the on time delivery of products and materials needed for novela integrations
  • Works closely with the Post-Production team at Telemundo Studios, to review novela content related to Integrations and to keep track of air dates, preemptions, and emission content distribution
  • Responsible for coordinating all daily activities with the novela production teams
  • Manages invoicing for all novela integrations including production and talent fees
  • Provides general administrative support such as following up on invoices, inventory control, etc.
  • Provides integration assistance for Specials programming, as needed and assigned by the Director, Integrations – HCS Content team.
  • Attends regular meetings with the HCS Integrations team, as needed.
  • Joins client kick-off calls as determined by the Integrations Producers, HCS
  • Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios’ infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
  • Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment
  • Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader
  • Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader

  • Minimum 2 years of Marketing and/or production experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Marketing, Communication, TV Production or other related fields
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines
  • Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal communications)
  • Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions

  • Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write)
  • Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and natural disaster emergencies.
