Cox Automotive is seeking a Director of Marketing to
support the Dealer.com brand based out of Burlington, Vermont.

Reports To: Senior Director– Marketing




 




Marketing Mission: Position and promote Dealer.com as the
premier Digital Storefront for the retail automotive industry. Drive high
quality leads for the sales team that turns into won deals with new revenue.




 




Job Summary




Responsible for planning, development, implementation and
management of the Dealer.com marketing strategies, demand generation, marketing
communications and market research. Directs the efforts of the Dealer.com in
house marketing team, outsourced and/or shared services marketing, digital
marketing manager, content marketing manager, product marketing and PR staff
and coordinates with the other related functions of both Dealer.com, Cox
Automotive software division units and Cox Auto HQ.




 




Primary Relationships




The Director reports to the Senior Director - Marketing and
serves as a member of the senior marketing team. This position coordinates with
the relevant functions/departments, primarily Dealer.com lead generation, sales
operations and sales.




 




Primary Responsibilities  - Marketing, Brand &
Positioning, and Demand Generation




  • Build and manage annual budget and strategy for
    all marketing related items. Develop annual plan with quarterly initiatives all
    driven around driving demand for the sales team that turns into closed won
    business. Start with a strategy, build a plan and rally the team around the
    execution and accountable of the plan.

  • Responsible for creating, implementing and
    measuring the success of marketing, demand generation through a series of
    campaigns across a multi-digital channel approach. Leverage best practices and
    experience to guide the team to drive results.

  • Works closely with sales and business leaders to
    craft campaign strategy, messaging and desired results.

  • Deep analytic skills to look for trends in
    marketing demand performance and insights from campaign to improve performance.

  • Synchronize marketing team efforts with the lead
    generation team, inside sales and in field sales representative. Work towards
    one common goal.

  • Work closely with business leaders and executive
    team to report on marketing performance, against goals with recommendations on
    effort.

  • Responsible for brand, positioning, lead
    generation, client marketing and product marketing

  • Assist team members to develop a strategic plan
    with clear objectives and measurable results.

  • Create and manage a series of analytics to gauge
    the effectiveness of Dealer.com marketing including but not limited to the
    following metrics: of leads, demos setup and delivered, % of closed won deals,
    new revenue from marketing sources opportunities, outbound dialing
    effectiveness, client engagement and adoption of new releases.

  • Assist in developing strategy with content
    marketing manager to facilitate internal and external communications including
    publications, case studies, white papers, videos, newsletters, press releases,
    articles..

  • Responsible for guiding digital marketing
    manager in creation and management of all Dealer.com digital presences
    including websites (both domestic and international) SEO/SEM, social media
    including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other related digital presence and/or
    materials.

  • Ensure understanding and enforcement of Cox and Dealer.com
    brand guidelines for use of logos, brochures, templates, style guides, forms
    and stationary.

  • Ensure that the quality of all Dealer.com presence
    and adhere to the highest quality standards.

  • Manage Dealer.com market research and coordinate
    market research findings so that they are disseminated across Dealer.com and
    into relevant marketing material and activities.

  • Helps guide the team through all aspects of
    event management including tradeshows, speaking engagements, roundtables,
    panels and sponsorships including but not limited to NADA,  Digital Dealer, OEM programs.

  • Lead the product marketing, sales operations and
    finance teams to ensure successful marketing launches, including order forms,
    Salesforce alignment and other supporting processes.

  • Work with Cox Automotive shared marketing
    resource groups as appropriate.



































Qualifications:Primary Responsibilities - Planning and Budgeting

revenue.  Ensure that metrics are in
place to track these objectives and report progress.



2. Develop plans and budgets (short
term/long term) for the marketing demand generation and monitor progress and
evaluate performance.



 

Primary Responsibilities - Organization

  1. Maintain
    an environment that attracts, retains and motivates quality employees and partners.

  2. Perform
    regular performance and personnel evaluations according to the Cox Automotive
    HR guidelines.

  3. Recruit,
    train, appraise, and manage marketing team.

  4. Recruit and
    fill open positions in a timely manner.

  5. Communicate
    and support cross-functional teams throughout Dealer.com in order to ensure
    marketing awareness, lead generation and sales support.

  6. Supports Dealer.com
    International units and personnel marketing activities as appropriate.

  7. Manage and
    coordinate any Cox Automotive shared resources so that Dealer.com objectives
    are uncompromised.
