KPTV-KPDX, a Meredith owned duopolgy, is recruiting for the position of Administrative Assistant/Accounting Clerk. The position is responsible for assisting the Staff Accountant with all processes related to the station's account payables, including but not limited to the review/confirmation/general ledger account coding and processing of all account payable invoices received at the station, administration of the station general petty cash box fund, reconciliation of station personnel corporate purchasing cards. Position also assists the General Manager, Human Resource Director, General Sales Manager, and News Director with station administrative duties. This position also includes receptionist duties, interacting with all levels of internal and external clients, vendors, viewers and corporate partners and as such must excel in customer service and professional communication.

Essential Duties:

50% Assist Accounting Manager with processing of station accounts payable. Review all station invoices for validity and accuracy, match to purchase order, scan into Markview, assign appropriate general ledger account codes and forward to appropriate Department Head for approvals. Maintain and update station a/p purchase order log. Responsible for assigning the appropriate general ledger account codes to station personnel corporate purchasing card and monthly reconciliation of each card. Administer station general petty cash box fund. Ordering office supplies and maintaining office supply inventories.

40% Assists with various administrative duties for HR, News, Sales, Administration, Engineering.

10% Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

1 year in an administrative support position

Specific knowledge, skills and abilities:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task
