The NBC Sports Washington Marketing team is looking for a motivated, team-orientated Multi-Platform Marketing Manager to ensure that we are maximizing promotional opportunities across our own platforms as strategically as possible. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Creative Services, the position will also help augment the entire company’s digital and social efforts with the goals of bringing new fans in, increasing awareness and consumption of our content, and deepening their loyalty and engagement across platforms, teams and content. Owned Assets/Inventory:Based on priorities, and working with Senior Marketing Manager, proactively identify needed assets, write creative briefs and work with creative and content teams to see them through to completionManage inventory of owned assets across platformsMaintain document of record accessible to all in company detailing priorities and corresponding plans and assets; update and distribute as neededEnsure owned inventory (including linear, in game, etc.) and scheduling reflects wider multi-platform, corporate and trade/partnership prioritiesSchedule owned assets across platforms; provide messaging and scheduling where needed to producers, talent and partnersSocial/Digital:Implement infrastructure to enable paid media capabilities across social media, search and retargetingPlan, execute and analyze social/digital media buys to boost content consumption and app downloads, both planned and impromptu, week in and week out, to support organizational priorities
Work with digital and social teams to implement retargeting from site and app and execute buys to maximize this opportunity (sequential targeting, etc.) to increase traffic and consumption to digital content and appAssist other teams (Sales, Content) with above functions on ad hoc and mutually agreed basisHelp drive business forward with an eye on what’s new in this space and lead team in experimenting and learning.Other:Manage the marketing internship programAffiliates:Collaborate on subscriber retention and acquisition campaignsHold monthly calls with promotional counterparts at MVPDs and vMVPDs to sell in priorities, garner promotion across platforms and make them aware of available assetsProvide appropriate assets and messaging to partners in timely fashion; anticipate and plan for any additional or custom deliverables unique to partnersBasic Qualifications:
- Create audience segments and fine tune as needed
- Report regularly on results, improving and honing plans and work closely with Digital/Social team and other Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) to share learnings and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for sports
- Ability and desire to understand bigger picture, and how various parts can work together to support larger goals
- Knowledge of our network, as well as Washington, DC teams and athletes
- Ability to meet prioritize, meet deadlines and work as part of a team, while also being able to work in a fast-paced environment
