Role Summary
The Programmatic Digital Planner will play a critical role within our fast-paced advertising sales team with a focus on driving revenue through a suite of programmatic audience products, as a key component of our sales offerings across digital and linear properties. This role will report directly into to the Manager of AdSmart Digital Planning, managing campaign execution with clients, ad tech partners, and media agencies and collaborating with key stakeholders across the NBCU organization in order to meet revenue goals. Advanced knowledge of the digital advertising landscape and ability to operate effectively at the cross-section of traditional and new media are critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with all internal departments (Sales, Planning, Ad Ops, Platform Solutions, Management, Insights & Measurement, etc.) on the development and implementation of programmatic campaigns
  • Team with Programmatic Account Executives to drive programmatic advertising revenue via private marketplace, audience targeted digital, programmatic guaranteed, and addressable salesManage client relationships in close partnership with sales to deliver superior customer serviceEnsure all programmatic digital campaigns are executed correctly, including (but not limited to) deal creation/set-up, collection of assets, and liaising with internal programmatic and ad ops teams to set live, manage, and optimize programs
  • Lead the monitoring and reporting of deal health and campaign performance to ensure delivery (running internal and 3rd party reporting), maximize revenue potential and identify macro trends impacting our programmatic industry
  • Proactively communicate campaign highlights and/or red flags to AE/Planning Manager to enable resolution with client
  • Serve as subject matter expert on everything digital programmatic

    Qualifications:
    • Digital media planning / industry experience
    • Extensive knowledge of online ad technology landscape including SSPs, exchange/RTB functionality, header bidding solutions, and general industry trends
    • Experience at a DSP/SSP/Agency trading desk is preferred
    • Ad Serving software and tracking knowledge is preferred
    • Highly analytical, strategic thinker, problem solver
    • Understanding of the agency, client landscape and ad-tech environments
    • Ability to interpret programmatic data patterns (delivery, bid rates, win rates, etc.)
    • Ability to assimilate data and research and thrive in a data-driven environment
    • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    • Highly independent, motivated self-starter with ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced startup environment
    • Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships within a cross-functional matrixed organization
    • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for a broad audience
    • Excellent time management / project management skills, with ability to manage detailed work and communicate deal status effectively to all levels
    • Exceptional with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


    Eligibility Requirements:
    • 3+ years in digital media planning or client service at entry level, with at least with 1+ years of experience in programmatic advertising sales
    • Four year degree (B.A.,B.S) from an accredited college or university
