Cox Media is looking for a National Sales Manager to manage the development, coordination and implementation of Cox Media's national sales strategies and achieve the established revenue goals. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES• Develops and executes business plans that support a sound strategy for growing unit rates, maximizing share of serviceable area and achieving financial objectives• Works closely with NCC Media in order to educate, direct and implement sales opportunities and expectations, communicate market specific initiatives and vision• Provides senior management with accurate weekly and quarterly revenue forecasts• Utilizes Nielsen Media research and other recognized credible data sources to consistently negotiate accurate performance metrics thus reducing unnecessary posting• Develops local market relationships with key decision makers in order to assess the strategic objectives of national clients, planning teams and their advertising agencies• Organizes and plans day-to-day strategies to motivate, coach and counsel NCC AE’s on selling strategies, negotiations and proposals• Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Inventory and Sales Support • Takes full advantage of Cox training tools and techniques, job aides in order to grow and develop professionally• Travel to NCC markets is estimated at 25% • Perform other duties as requiredQualifications:Requirements
Minimum• 3-5 years of media, cable or digital advertising sales experience• Strong leadership, motivational and sales skills with a proven track record of success • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in an extremely fast paced environment • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills
Preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business or equivalent experience• 2+ years experience leading a team of 5 or more people
