LMU’s Loyola Law School is seeking an Associate Director for Marketing and Communications. The Associate Director will lead, support and execute marketing and visibility strategies, tactics, campaigns and plans in support of LMU’s Loyola Law School. The incumbent works across teams to develop comprehensive initiatives to raise the school’s national profile, achieve enrollment objectives, position competitively faculty and academic programs, and engage target audiences as a fully integrated member of LMU’s Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the incumbent helps oversee data analytics, brand management, media planning, and writes and edits for multiple platforms and audiences, liaising with a diverse array of constituents, including Admissions, Advancement and senior leadership. The Associate Director must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense and service-oriented environment while also being willing and able to adjust to changing demands and shifting priorities.
Other responsibilities include: conceptualize, execute and analyze comprehensive communications and marketing plans and projects; manage website sections aimed at external audiences; and collaborate with other departments to raise awareness of academic programs and events. This position will play a major role in bringing a new brand identity to market. The Associate Director will also manage a blog network, including platforms for faculty, individual professors, students and admissions officers. Candidate will also monitor developments in legal education trends to aptly prepare Law School pitches and responses to maximize value for LLS emerging storylines.

We seek candidates who typically possess a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred. Degrees in marketing, communications or business management – especially an MBA – preferred. Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in marketing, with proven skills, knowledge and ability. Successful candidates will have the ability to work effectively and independently with internal and external constituencies and with professionals of varied disciplines to accomplish tasks and projects. Demonstrated experience managing and executing across multiple marketing channels and campaigns with evidence of impact and return on investment; the ability to articulate how past experience with marketing has influenced target audience behavior and driven choice or actions desired. Candidates must also have highly developed skills in communications writing and editing. Candidates must have demonstrated computer competency with common and specialized production software suites, such as photo editing software, email marketing platforms, social media monitoring and tracking suites and analytics reporting software. Experience with CRM tools required.
