Role Purpose
The Jr. Interactive Designer is responsible for helping shape design of NBC Sports digital properties including brand, look and feel and usability, with the overarching goal of providing an excellent user experience. This position will also be charged with ensuring high creative standards and delivering innovative design solutions. This position will be able to visualize and execute online stories, interactive features/sports packages, mobile applications, promotional/marketing and sales materials. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the design of a variety of promotional and social experiences to support NBC Sports and OnAir programming, and NBC Sports Wire news and editorial content.


Responsibilities
  • Produce final design solutions (e.g. logos, banners, interfaces)
  • Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects
  • Collaborate with team members to launch designs
  • Interact with all different stakeholders in order to process and complete sales tickets
  • Maintain and take action on submitted Gira tickets
  • Create logo mock ups for the sales team
  • Assist/Support team of interactive designers with on-going projects
  • Communicate with senior team members to receive feedback on projects and assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned


u>Basic Qualifications
  • BS or BA in Interaction Design, Graphic Design or Communication Design or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience designing for Apple iOS, Android and Android platforms
  • Strong visual design skills, including typography, composition, and use of color
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and their underlying technical concepts
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience of web and mobile standards, best practices, design and usability principles, and constraints within web, mobile and e-mail formats
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with interactive developers and project managers to create a highly polished visual experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience in designing banners, emails and front end web design
  • Experience using Sketch app

  • Expert command of Photoshop and Illustrator, Adobe Xd
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time

  • Experience in creating iconography
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be organized with files, and must work quickly and efficiently
