Universal Brand Development’s Franchise Management team drives the global vision and strategic development and execution of our franchise strategy and marketing plans to cultivate brand growth and drive revenue throughout the franchise ecosystem. Consumer Insights is part of the Franchise Management team and is responsible for developing, executing, and interpreting research and analytics that inform global and regional brand strategy and subsequent execution. The Consumer Insights Manager will report to the Consumer Insights Director.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and interpret research and analytics to inform global franchise planning, as well as Universal Brand Development business decisions
  • Manage design, fieldwork, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research studies (including global tracking and deep dive brand studies)
  • Summarize and communicate key learnings and tools across global Brand Development team
  • Regularly present research insights to key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Manage ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Mine, track, and disseminate consumer and market trends from syndicated and industry resources
  • Collaborate with other research teams across NBCU (including theatrical, theme parks, TV)


  • Requirements:
    •Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or Sociology)
    •3+ years of primary research experience (qualitative and quantitative), ideally at a media/entertainment company

    •Experience in kids entertainment or kids-related business preferred
