Job Description:

A local nonprofit is looking for a Communications Manager to join its team. This is a full time position that starts in July.

The Communications Manager should have 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role. In addition, the Communications Manager has experience on-camera, pitching media stories, handling social media, drafting talking points, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Proven experience (3-5 years)

+ Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills required

+ Expert-level MS Office

+ Understanding of HTML and Adobe Creative Suite

+ Experience creating marketing and communications plans

+ Strong understanding of social media

+ Experience working with media, both on and off camera

The Communications Manager will report to the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Draft press releases, talking points, editorial pieces, social media content and more

+ Create marketing calendar

+ Pitch client to TV, radio, digital and more

+ Maintain social media pages

+ Work with outside vendors on projects

+ Plan and execute events
