Role Summary:
The Digital Marketing group is under the umbrella of Universal Pictures marketing The department is responsible for creating and maintaining an online presence for all theatrical releases across the internet and mobile devices, and is often the arena in which movies are initially introduced to the marketplace. This includes the official websites, social media, ad creative, rich media, co-branded websites, and online publicity and promotions.
The individual in this position will have creative asset management responsibilities while at the same time fulfilling all administrative duties. Exceptional communication skills both one-on-one and across all levels of management are crucial. Individuals must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, and to efficiently juggle a workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. On a daily basis, the position requires someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, has the ability to seek out information from appropriate sources and has exceptional follow-through. Attention to detail is extremely important.
Individuals in this job must possess solid computer, writing, and technical skills, including a familiarity with digital video production and web development. Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint experience is a must. Experience with Photoshop is also highly desirable as it may be necessary to assist the creative team with image resizing.The position reports to the Vice President, Digital Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Be self-reliant and able to efficiently prioritize and complete tasks independently
  • Work with our internal dubroom and external vendors to request materials to the accurate specs.
  • Maintain group asset Dropbox and Google docs, and independently handle day-to-day asset requests from internal and external sources
  • Work with vendors and legal team to ensure all contracts are correctly executed.
  • Track invoices and budgets
  • Create and oversee strategy and marketing decks, as required
  • Coordinate vendor photography and asset pulls
  • Create and traffic specialty creative requests, including but not limited to evites, press mailers, e-blasts etc.
  • Maintain and manage URL database (including DNS management)
  • Pull website stats and traffic information when needed
  • Other campaign reporting as required
  • Support digital director and manager on creative campaigns.
  • Handle administrative tasks for VP, Digital – scheduling, conference calls, notes, travel/ expenses

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in the entertainment industry specifically digital marketing, production, or post-production
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop

  • 4 year college degree in marketing or related field is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Familiarity with video post-production and file formats
