  • Work closely with Network Assignment Desks, Sat Ops, Field Producers, studio crew and/or truck operators to coordinate media to be fed and captured.
  • Assist Technical Operations Team and Production Operations Team with weekly scheduling and shift adjustments during special events.
  • Communicate and coordinate capture assignments with Media Ingest Techs.
  • Facilitate web recordings & phone interviews, as needed
  • Coordinate with Segment Producers the capture schedule of any content to be brought in from foreign correspondents.
  • Field all feed/roll requests via email or phone and coordinate the preparation of special content for distribution.
  • Recommend deletion schedules and archive priorities.
  • Provided editorial guidance to balance Satellite feeds and VOD requests.
  • Responsible for the nomenclature of ingest clips with a predetermined description of material fed; captured in accordance with the naming conventions established by the MCOE media Manager.
  • Write synopsis/log of feeds as needed, data entry
  • Alert Producers, control room and Tape Producers to breaking news or other pertinent video feeds.
  • Coordinate with Technical Operations Engineer on items to be rolled on daily basis; and checking video-audio quality of incoming feeds.
  • Initiate live media capture and / or manually ingest ENG content, as needed
  • Gather feedback from Media Ingest Techs and report all discrepancies directly to Technical Operations Engineers to troubleshoot all TX issues.
  • Search the web for editorial content pertinent to news gathering properties and relay information to production team


  • • Must have 2-3 years of editorial experience.
    • Ability to communicate with different clients who have different needs and within different levels of the business (senior leaders to fellow Technicians).
    • Familiarity with OTT streaming services
    • Ability to recognize relevant audio/video with high potential for compelling television and inclusion into Telemundo programming.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task within a busy live television environment while working with many sources.
    • Knowledge of iNews, FTP technology and AVID server-based digital media asset system.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with others under tight broadcast deadlines.
    • Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
    • Must be able to work weekends, early mornings and overnights, including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
