CNBC is looking for an experienced paid- and organic-search expert to join our SEO Team. We are seeking someone who thrives in the excitement of working in an ever-changing environment and will contribute ideas about how to evolve CNBC’s overall search strategy.

As part of CNBC Digital's Audience Growth Team, the SEO Analyst will work directly on the CNBC.com website, as well as other special projects and initiatives. They will be expected to take a leadership role in the management of both paid and organic search campaigns as well as the reporting to key stakeholders.

This ideal candidate will contribute ideas to the overall SEO strategy and develop actionable items for our strategy based on their analysis. This role will involve both paid search and organic search engine optimization. Experience in both avenues of search is required.

Responsibilities of the SEO Analyst may include, but are not limited to:

Day to day management of paid search campaigns for special projects

Managing SEO standard operating procedures and campaigns

Analyzing reporting and providing feedback for overall search strategy

Monitoring keyword rankings

​Communicating SEO best practices to editorial teams



• Experience in search engine optimization at the enterprise level
• Experience in paid search management within Google Ads
• Ability to conduct analysis on data and create actionable items to boost growth
• Experience deploying standard operating procedures
• Familiarity with paid search and SEO tools
• Ability to keep up with industry changes in SEM/SEO

• Experience working in a news or publishing organization
• Experience working with SEO and paid search tools such as SEMRush and Botify
• Desire to work on a creative, demanding and data-driven team
• Must be collaborative and a great communicator
• Thought leader in the SEO and paid search community
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
