The Consumer Marketing Development group at Penguin Random House is seeking a Web Analyst to join our innovative team. This team manages corporate consumer digital outreach programs like PenguinRandomHouse.com, ReadBrightly.com, ReadItForward.com, and facilitates best-in-class consumer marketing across Penguin Random House’s publishing divisions via best-practice sharing, support, training, testing, and development across analytics and marketing tools (licensed or built in-house), campaigns, ad tech, email marketing, and content marketing.
The Web Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Analytics and is responsible for:

* Delivering recurring web analytics reporting and ad hoc analysis across PenguinRandomHouse.com and consumer interest sites (ReadBrightly.com and ReadItForward.com)
* Partnering with content teams and guiding them towards short-term and long-term goals by providing actionable insights and informing content strategy across channels (search, social, email, etc.)
* Collaborating with product and development teams to scope, implement, and test analytics tracking across websites and recommend UX improvements
* Building and maintaining dashboards in Adobe Analytics for stakeholders in the publishing divisions
* Implementing web and advertising pixels via tag management system (Tealium IQ)
* Conducting web analytics trainings for marketers in both one-on-one and classroom settings
* Keeping up to date on new technologies in consumer and digital marketing and sharing information with other marketers

The ideal candidate has:
* 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Familiarity with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics/Omniture Site Catalyst preferred)
* Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills and willingness to speak in front of large groups
* Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and common industry metrics across web analytics, email marketing, and social media
* A curiosity and eagerness to interpret sales and web analytics data
* Excellent attention to detail and willingness to troubleshoot and solve problems
* Be able to work both independently and effectively with others in a team-oriented environment
* Familiarity and/or interest in SEO best practices and tools (Moz, Google Trends/Search Console)
* Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, graphing, etc.)
* Experience with SQL a plus
