NBC News Digital is looking for a commerce editor to manage our ecommerce content. In this position you will help assign and edit shoppable content for The editor will be responsible for daily optimization and creation of commerce stories and will help manage other ecommerce partnerships across the NBC News portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a mix of editorial and analytical skills. This candidate should have the ability to create shoppable editorial content focused on product categories across tech, entertainment, home, lifestyle, parents, health and food. They should be able to use data and analytics to drive editorial decisions and should be able to choose products based on what’s trending and what the target audience is interested in.

Job Description:Create shopping content primarily for NBC News, specifically the Better, Think, Out, BLK and Mach sitesMonitor the news and social space for editorial pitchesParticipate in regular editorial meetingsWork with the social teams to create and promote shoppable contentCollaborate with editors to identify and optimize any commerce-focused lifestyle content on NBCNews.comOptimize posts based on affiliate partnerships and commerce opportunitiesBuild commerce posts in the CMSWork with the audience development teams on stories for paid campaigns

2-3 years editorial experience, commerce experience a plus
Experience working with broadcast or show producers a plus
Work experience for a news brand a plus

• Firm grasp of spelling, grammar, and punctuation rules (AP Style)
• Attention to detail and ability to make quick decisions
• Ability to manage many different tasks at once
• Strong understanding of data, analytics and excel
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams
• Knowledge of affiliate marketing platforms including Skimlinks, Amazon, Linkshare and Rakuten a plus
