The role will be a key member of the Studio Operations Marketing team with specific responsibilities to oversee and manage new business development specific to a centralized sales effort for Studio Operations including: Stages & Backlot, Studio Services (Property, Costume, Set Lighting, Grip, and Transportation), Special Events, and out-of-state subsidiaries.
NBCUniversal Studio Operations encompasses a broad range of production, post-production, facilities, and broadcast services at Universal Studios and other locations nationwide. Studio Operations provides complete production services along with more than 30 sound stages and 30 diverse backlot locations. From picture and sound post services to preservation and restoration of the company’s robust library, the post production creative talent and staff offers high quality work using the latest technology. Studio Operations serves both internal and external clients in television, features, commercials, streaming, still shoots, special events, and independent projects with dedicated customer service.
Job DutiesManage the Studio Operations Sales Program across all production related departments.Work in partnership with Studio Operations business leaders and individual department sales staff to develop revenue opportunities and growth strategies with internal and third party production companies, studios, and networksResponsible for prospecting, targeting, presenting, and coordinating sales leads utilizing SalesForce as CRM platformMaintain strong client relationships with production executives across the industryProactively maintain SalesForce database of client and project informationOversee and conduct sales calls, prospecting, and meet all quotas to ensure that the quarterly and annual goals are metTrack performance and generate timely sales reports for senior management
Share best practices across Studio OperationsExecute special projects as determined by management
- Conduct competitive analysis and industry trend reports for senior management
- Coordinate with Customer Relations team on client recognition efforts
- Support marketing conferences, trade shows, and film festivals as needed
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years experience in production-related sales capacity with understanding of production requirements and sales cycle for features, television, commercials, and streaming platforms
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Experience with interacting and communicating with all levels of management; must have excellent executive presence
• Experience with SalesForce, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
