An immediate opportunity is available for a Series Producer to lead creative, development and production of Cyberchase, WNET’s animated math series for PBS KIDS. Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Series Producer is responsible for the entire production process, including content, scripting, production, post-production and broadcast/digital rollout. The series producer provides strategic input on digital content, community engagement and communications initiatives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Lead development of story and overall content direction; bringing new ideas and innovations to the series; 
    Recruit head writer, freelance writers and content advisors.
    Lead all character/story and script meetings; oversee scripting process and schedule. 
    Review and provide final, detailed feedback on all production elements, including: concept designs, color designs, animatics, rough cuts, music and sfx passes, mixes and final exports. Ensure all meet the highest quality standards and goals of the content and story.
    Approve voice casting and supervise all voice-over sessions.
    Review and provide input all creative for digital, including games and short-form videos.
    Ensure alignment of content rollout strategies across all digital platforms for kids, parents and educators.
    Support creation of project budgets; create and oversee project schedules.
    Supervise Coordinating Producer and Production Coordinator. Supervise other members of production team as needed.
    Serve as primary point of contact with PBS, including collaboration on editorial/new season development and broadcast strategy, and represent Cyberchase at conferences and industry events

•    A minimum of 7 years’ experience in children’s education media production;
•    A demonstrated track record in producing high-quality, dynamic animated children’s series;
•    Demonstrated ability to manage the process from concept to broadcast;
•    Excellent leadership, organizational and collaboration skills; 
•    Resourceful, innovative and current on kids’ educational media, trends and new technologies
•    Strong understand of narrative storytelling (humor is a plus)!
•    A/BS or equivalent experience.

The successful candidate will have a true passion for creating high quality children’s content that educates and entertains; experience producing animated children’s series; and management skills.
