The Director, Studio & Technical Operations position requires an individual who can efficiently maximize all operational aspects of Network News, Sports, Entertainment, and Corporate Events consistent with the overall strategic plan. The candidate must possess a variety of competencies including, meticulous follow-through, comprehensive organizational skills, acute attention to detail, client focus, superior judgment, project management, event operations and a reliable business sense.

Job Duties:
  • Manage all FTEs for Network Studio Operations, supporting News, Sports, & Entertainment in Studios, Control Rooms, and Hair, Make-Up and Wardrobe
  • Cultivate client relationships for customer success
  • Maintain fiscal management of labor budgets for NABET, IATSE, DGA & Technical Managers
  • Develop and maintain departmental operating budget
  • Streamline processes to increase reliability
  • Increase talent pipeline
  • Strengthen the organization by fostering growth and culture with frontline managers and technical staff
  • Provide on-air supportDevelop, execute and maintain disaster recovery plans for all network brands

    Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in a live television operations environment
  • Experience with deadline driven environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 tools such as Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
