Part-Time Studio Technician

Cox Media Group Ohio/WHIO-TV has a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level, part-time Studio Technician position. When the news is happening, we are at work, so you’ll need to be prepared to work contributing to our broadcast and digital platforms.
This position requires flexibility to work overnights, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends. If you have an interest in media, willing to learn other aspects of broadcasting, i.e. Master Control and/or Ignite operation, this job can be your foot in the door!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate the prompter for live and recorded programming
• Manage the studio floor for live and recorded programming
• Miscellaneous Duties: includes maintenance and preparation of studio and sets. Prepare scripts for newscasts.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or higher preferred.
Experience: No experience required
Other skills and abilities:Work with talent in TV Studio, give talent cues from Technical Director
Physical Requirements – Ability to lift 50 pounds, moving bulky set pieces, climbing ladders to replace high-intensity light bulbs.
