Senior Strategic Sales Director - Mobility Solutions

The Sr. Strategic Sales Director will be responsible for working in conjunction with OEMs and Dealers to prospect and sell Mobility Solutions products and services to strategic OEMs, dealership accounts, and fleet companies. Responsibilities include providing in-depth automotive product expertise, building C-Suite relationships, and selling Cox Automotive mobility solutions to assigned dealership accounts in collaboration with the respective Business Leaders. The Strategic Sales Director will be assigned to work across all mobility product lines and to work with cross-business sales resources. This role will support the development and execution of the sales strategy through qualitative and quantitative insights across all markets and mobility solutions; and will remove barriers to growth objectives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated prior experience in being innovative to achieve team and company goals as well as prior experience partnering with high-level sales/strategy professionals in a matrixed environment. Compensation will be based on sales quota attainment within the assigned product lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Proactively partner with the Business leaders (Clutch Technologies, RideKleen and Pivet) to identify and understand key market drivers and opportunities. Build strategies to capture the largest opportunities.Align Cox Automotive mobility solutions and services with identified opportunities in a collaborative team environment. Build trusted relationships with decision makers and influencers.Provides deep expertise for products within their area of responsibility (incl. business process best practices, industry trends and insights, competition, specific product knowledge, and financial acumen).Develops and delivers insightful information and persuasive presentations/demos for dealer clients.Participate in key negotiations with Commercial accounts, in coordination with others, to secure business.Develop and achieve forecasts, budgets, and goals.Secure client agreement and contracts required to achieve the assigned sales goal.This is a field-based role. Expect minimum of 50-70% travel (day trips and overnight) required monthly to complete dealer meeting, sales/leadership meetings and training, etc.Develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts; demonstrate a high level of attentiveness towards customers and create a culture which encourages client satisfaction. Build and maintain a pipeline of active and passive candidates to minimize business disruption and secure continued growth.Utilize Salesforce as the point of record for all customer relationship management information. Monitor revenue pipeline via opportunities detailed in Salesforce.com.Leverage additional resources as needed (e.g. Marketing, Product, Strategy, etc.) to address and solve specific OEM/dealer needs or situations.Champion dealer product training and delivery for Clutch and Pivet products, as needed.Facilitate change by anticipating, identifying and planning for issues related to achieving the business objectives.Experience in building a sales team, including hiring, developing, and coaching.All other duties as assigned. Qualifications:12+ years of outside sales experience in a multi-platform product environment.5+ years of experience in sales selling products and services to large dealer groups and OEMs.Experience meeting and exceeding revenue objectives Excellent time management, organization, and task prioritization skills.Collaborative team-selling experience.Knowledge of automotive dealership operations strongly preferred.Willing and able to travel as needed and required (up to 50% day and overnight trips)Prior leadership experience, to including building and leading a sales team.Valid driver’s licenseHighly proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.Experience with budget and P&L Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or equivalent required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in automotive, or mobility solutions (preferably digital and/or subscription products)
- Demonstrated and complete understanding of Cox Automotive Mobility solutions; general understanding of all other Cox Automotive companies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience using Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management system
