Work with a driven and highly motivated team to support the sales efforts of NBCUniversal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies. As an Account Executive at NBCUniversal (NBCU), you will be responsible for developing, generating and maintaining new and existing business for all platforms and partners across our portfolio, including Network Entertainment, Sports, Entertainment & Lifestyle Networks, and News.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effectively present the US Network in a variety of presentation settings; in both formal (stand-up) and informal (one-on-one) meeting formats.
  • Develop and manage agency (planning/buying) and client relationships through day-to-day contact.
  • Prioritize all account activities on a weekly and monthly basis to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Understand the client’s marketing/advertising objectives and collaborate internally and externally to deliver proposals that satisfy these objectives.
  • Collaborate with On-Air, Digital, Emerging Media and Branded Entertainment units to develop, recommend and implement multi-platform and 360-degree marketing initiatives.
  • Anticipate and overcome objections to buying an unrated network with limited, though growing and distribution.
  • Display in-depth understanding of industry challenges associated with changing media landscape such as guarantee metrics, time-shifted viewing, consumption on digital platforms, etc.
  • Develop strong internal relationships across the sales team to allow for efficient communication with split partners on strategic business illustrating to the internal sales team the value of our client direct relationships

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of 5+ years selling experience in Media Sales
    • Previous experience at the Account Executive level within the media space

    • Willingness to travel and work overtime

    • Must be 18 years or older

    • Established relationships with clients and agencies in the Southeast Region strongly desired
    • Established relationships with casual dining/QSR, financial, auto and home improvement retailers in Southeast Region strongly desired
    • Proven experience in prospecting new clients, generating sales leads and closing the sale
    • Must have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Self-starter; ability to work very independently, but also fit into a strong team environment
    • Ability to travel as necessary
    • Ability to effectively analyze numeric data.
    • Excellent interpersonal and client relation skills
    • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
