The Owned Stations Group's Sales Marketing is looking for a Marketing Strategy Planner. The Planner is primarily responsible for the development of strategic sales proposals that drive business development opportunities by meeting both the advertiser and client's needs. This individual is a critical member of a team that identifies business opportunities and develops creative marketing solutions that are backed up by research to meet campaign goals.

Key responsibility includes the aggregation of data from multiple data sets (primary and secondary sources, internal and external) into highly insightful and relevant findings, combined with creative marketing solutions, to deliver coherent business cases that meet advertiser’s campaign goals.

They must have the foresight to draw out the meaningful insights from data and use new and compelling ways to communicate the insight in both written and oral forms.

Ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with impeccable attention to detail, have a strong acumen for storytelling and analysis, copywriting, consumer research and metrics, excellent relationship and problem-solving skills suited for fast paced environments.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Strategy & Development

  • Respond to brand briefs through comprehensive business cases and media plan recommendations (must be able to identify needs, develop a solution, structure the analysis, gather supporting data and communicate findings succinctly, clearly and creatively)

  • Monitor industry and consumer trends

  • Partner with internal teams (research, content, sales) to establish, analyze and create marketing solutions to subsequently deliver a business-focused POV that Meets advertiser and category objectives

  • Address client needs while highlighting the value and capabilities of the NBCU Owned Stations portfolio

  • Collaborate and brainstorm with the team in the creation of proactive and strategic proposals

  • Assist in the coordination of any other sales marketing materials

  • Assist in creation of compelling sales plans for clients in the linear and non-linear space


  • Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/ Communications or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 Years related experience preferred
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
  • Knowledge of sales systems (WideOrbit, Sales Force)
  • Impeccable attention to detail and creativity is a must
  • Ability to analyze data and turn it into compelling business cases
  • Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team
  • Self-starter, ambitious and highly motivated
