Universal Studios Hollywood, the Entertainment Capital of L.A. has an opening for an experienced Sales Representative of Event and Group Sales. We are looking for a dynamic sales professional to be a part of a winning team and work for one of the top companies in the world. This position is responsible for focusing on promoting and selling Universal Studios Hollywood’s CityWalk owned and operated venues along with theme park event products. The ideal candidate for this role must be sales driven, results focused, passionate and creative in developing new event opportunities. The candidate will report to and work closely with the Vice President and team of Sr. Managers, accountable for establishing new clientele along with expanding Universal’s saturation within the existing client base.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities and initiatives to drive event sales (CityWalk restaurants and venues)
  • Identify, develop and maintain key accounts as well as foster new relationships to exceed revenue goals
  • Increase venue and product awareness within the local market place by conducting sales calls, sites, familiarization tours, industry meetings, tradeshows, etc.
  • Partner and network within local industry organizations to develop strong relationships and obtain sales leads
  • Preparing proposals and event budgets, that are geared towards maximizing profit while fulfilling customer needs
  • Conduct and manage telesales and email campaigns to promote events and ticket programs and generate leads
  • Negotiating and contract management
  • Develop event site requests, proposals and contracts
  • Partnering with venue management teams along with Event Production to ensure flawless execution of event
  • Effectively partner with CityWalk & theme park operations, entertainment, finance, food/retail and sales/marketing to leverage knowledge and opportunities
  • Continuously expand knowledge of competition to ensure CityWalk’s placement in the marketplace


  • • Minimum 3 years of sales experience
    • Proven success in developing client relationships and managing accounts
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and determine accurate product for customer need
    • Computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    • Bachelor's in Business or Sales/Marketing
    • Working knowledge and experience in restaurant event sales
    • Experience with B2B sales
    • Effective customer service skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proven success in working effectively with team members
    • Creative, out of the box thinker
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be able to wear 'multiple hats" and multi task
    • Self-motivated
    • Outgoing, positive attitude
    • Team player, willing to jump in to assist teammates when needed
    • Knowledge and experience in Salesforce
    • Must have reliable transportation and able to conduct sales calls in Southern California
