The Coordinator, Promotions for Universal Pictures is dually responsible for providing support to the Promotions Sales team and their needs in pitching and securing meaningful third-party brand partnerships as well as Creative Services needs. The Coordinator is also responsible for departmental administrative duties, including budget management, potentially coordinating travel, expenses, etc.

Reports into the VP, Partnership Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the VP and Directors of Partnership Marketing (by assignment) in participating in and generating brand partners for select theatrical film properties across all categories.
  • Research target companies/categories and generate brand leads (even starting cold) to schedule calls and meetings to be a part of the sales and pitching efforts.
  • In coordination with the Sales team, engage in and help resolve partner issues or negotiating promotional deal terms in a timely manner to make sure all aspects of the deal execution flow smoothly. This may include helping to manage day-to-day activity, program flow, liaising with partners and coordinating alignment with internal colleagues in retail, licensing, legal, finance, marketing, creative, product development and other internal studio divisions.
  • In coordination with the Sales team, develop Letters of Agreement and work with partners, the Execution team, legal and finance to expedite contract execution.
  • Support the Director, Creative Services with asset management needs, including distribution of materials to the team, generating and editing presentations, etc.
  • Oversee submissions of all promotional deal terms into the Universal Brand Development agreement tracking system.
  • Develop and oversee film promotions budget from the Sales team’s POV and work in coordination with the Execution team and the Finance teams to ensure alignment.
  • Prepare and help manage film-specific pitch lists and presentation materials.
  • Travel to participate in meetings and key partner pitches, as necessary.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with internal executives and brand partners.
  • Monitor, track and research relevant competitive partnership marketing opportunities and trends.
  • Maintain and update specific partnership status reports and media valuation documents.
  • Oversee the department’s intern(s).
  • Provide general support and working on special projects and events, as assigned.


  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    •Bachelor’s degree
    •Minimum of 2 years of experience in an entertainment marketing administration role
    •Extensive experience using Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Keynote and some Photoshop capabilities
    •Must be MAC proficient

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    •Must be willing and able to travel, sometimes on short notice
