Cox Media Group (CMG) – Houston which encompasses three radio stations: KGLK, The Eagle – “Houston’s Classic Rock, KKBQ, “The New 93Q Country”, and KTHT, “Country Legends” and a digital platform: Local Solutions is looking for an experienced professional for a Client Services Coordinator role. The ideal candidate has two or more years in a sales support role within the media industry and is familiar with executing various responsibilities necessary for the fulfillment of both radio and digital media. The Client Services Coordinator will also be responsible for developing proposals and collateral for our radio and digital products as well as executing various essential daily duties and administrative work (eg. order entry, reporting and analysis). 

Essential Duties

The ideal candidate has two or more years in a sales support role within the media industry and is familiar with executing various responsibilities necessary for the fulfillment of both radio and digital media. The Client Services Coordinator will also be responsible for developing proposals and collateral for our radio and digital products as well as executing various essential daily duties and administrative work (eg. order entry, reporting and analysis). 

Essential Duties

  • Perform essential data-entry necessary to execute any media sale or program.
    • Complete order entry for radio and digital sales using systems WideObit & VCreative.
    • Learn and effectively navigate sales systems and tools to be able to provide ongoing support to sales management and account executives.
  • Develop proposals and other collateral material.
    • Create effective sales collateral for client presentations using PowerPoint and/or other design tools.
    • Put together strategic digital pricing recommendations for proposals.
  • Leverage reporting systems to generate (and explain) custom reporting for sales leadership (using proprietary software and/or Miller Kaplan, & X-Ray).
    • Effectively build intuitive report templates in Microsoft Excel.
    • Clearly and concisely explain the metrics and takeaways to sales leadership (story telling). 
  • Execute various other projects as assigned to ensure daily operations are handled appropriately and promptly.
    • This includes - filing, copying, ordering supplies, mail distribution, folder management, event badge assembly.
    • Collaborate with other colleagues to ensure workload demands are met and effectively & efficiently distributed. Provide assistance on B2B marketing efforts.

  • Provide assistance on B2B marketing efforts.
    • Responsible for guest list tracking for any external client events.
    • Perform any other necessary tasks in support of B2B marketing.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate demonstrates an ability to lead others through ambiguity and be organized, analytical, and possess skills that allow him/her to effectively communicate with clients and sales staff. This person must strive to learn and adapt to any and all technical skills and tools to maintain the qualifications required in a constantly-evolving industry. 


He/she must also operate with a sense of urgency, be adaptable, detail-oriented, results-driven, a problem solver and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration, customer focus and driving execution are also core competencies required of the ideal Client Services Coordinator.

Minimum required level of education preferred to perform the job effectively: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related preferred.

This position requires an individual to have support-level experience within the media and/or marketing industries: 

  • At least one (1) marketing or media internship (with positive references) is preferred.  
  • Candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Suite of products such as Excel, Word, Publisher, 365, Outlook and PowerPoint.
