The Lead Digital Content Producer leads the Revenue Content Team’s producers, overseeing the production of audience-focused content with a focus on viral/trending stories and fulfilling AJC sponsorships. The lead works closely with The Revenue Content Manager to develop new sponsorships and grow existing opportunities.

Duty: Oversee the Revenue Content Team’s digital producers
Manages work of content producers and freelancers who create and/or source content for viral/trending and revenue initiatives.
May attend daily newsroom meetings to plan coverage for the day
Produces high-quality content ideas that are engaging and on-point
Understands digital content, how to frame it for social engagement and how to measure or estimate its success.
Edits or approves content submitted by freelancers and producers
Writes additional content as needed
Observes ethical and brand standards in content
Selects or sources artwork
Works in AJC content management system to design, layout and manage advertising content
Creates social content as needed to promote content
Assists in tracking performance and overall progress to annual goals, and coach producers to increase performance

Duty: Manage content execution for sponsorships and revenue initiatives
Is the collaborative and creative force in the ideation for premium advertising products including editorial sponsorship initiatives
Responsible for the creation of sponsorship content and the results of engagement to that content
Forecast traffic and impressions for sponsorship content, adjusting production and distribution plans as needed to hit advertising goals
Maintains a strong understanding of the difference between editorial content and advertiser content and the standards required for each
Brainstorms and collaborates with advertising sales staff
Educate and build sales capacity for sponsorship products
Creates detailed freelance assignments
Designs mockups to demonstrate concepts for sponsorships
Oversee the creation of collateral material for sponsorships, including graphic headers, social promotion images and hubs
Creates content plans for sponsorships
Supports advertising content team as needed with Sponsorship advertising content
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree

Certifications/Specialized Training
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of news judgement and journalism ethics
• Knowledge of production management platforms and digital marketing tools, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, etc.
• Knowledge of digital analytics, preferably Google Analytics

Yrs & Type of Experience
• 3+ years of experience.
Experienced in the following:
• Strong teamwork, communication and brain-storming
• Good troubleshooting skills and a love of solving problems
• Ability to adapt quickly and seamlessly in an ever-changing environment
