The Media Operations Coordinator will be responsible for independently operating key tools for ingest and quality control, demonstrating effective operational communication skills, identifying gaps in procedures and developing solutions as well as demonstrating knowledge of the business and an ability to assess and manage risks. The position serves as the main media services support for all internal departments.

Responsibilities
  • Understand our business, analyze our processes and collaborates with co-workers to improve our workflows and procedures
  • Assess risk in our processes, procedures and workflows and proactively works with the team to minimize/avoid those risks
  • Understand the scope of projects and proactively works with the team to determine what is needed and the best course of action to achieve the goal
  • Identify gaps in procedures or the operational environment and works with the team to fill/eliminate the gaps to improve our workflows
  • Operate key tools such as Avid Media Composer, Media Capture System, Air Speed system, Aya KiPro’s, Evertz router, Phabrix measurement system, and various tape machines formats to ingest media assets into necessary systems and perform quality control of acquired content following standards, procedures and methods
  • Communicate information about assets, procedures, trouble-shooting and job requests in Spanish and English, both verbally and written, to clients and co-workers
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to all clients and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner


  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production, post production, broadcast, or communications environment
    • Intermediate knowledge of our operating system, how to trouble-shoot various hardware and software systems, with ability to independently find solutions
    • Basic ability to guide and assist co-workers when needed
    • Open to learning and receiving guidance from co-workers
    • Knowledge of computers and software applications including MS outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel
    • Knowledge of various media formats/VTRs (Digibeta, HDcam, XDcam), file types (QT, WMV, MXF, MOV, DNX, DNX 175X, DV, etc) and video standards (NTSC, PAL)
    • Understanding of frame rates
    • Professional experience with Avid Media Composer
    • A team player, who is always respectful, follows rules and policy, has good communication skills, and maintains a positive attitude
    • Flexibility with work schedule; must be able to work late hours, weekends and/or holidays
    • Fluency in English/Spanish
    • Able to respectfully collaborate and share ideas in a group environment
    • Able to work independently and make decisions based on best business practices
    • Able to resolve minor conflicts with clients maintaining a positive attitude
    • Able to complete job request independently following specific client instructions
    • Able to develop rapport with clients and co-workers

    • Detail oriented with ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
