Role Purpose
The NBC Sports Marketing team is looking for a motivated, team-orientated multi-platform Assistant Marketing Manager to ensure that we are strategically maximizing promotional and revenue generating opportunities across our Regional Sports Networks. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the position will help enhance the entire company’s integrated marketing efforts- with a heavy emphasis on digital- to bring new fans in, increase awareness and consumption of our content, and deepen loyalty and engagement across all touchpoints.

  • Collaborate regularly with the NBC Sports Regional Sports Networks to establish a content priorities calendar, tactical roadmaps and best practices
  • Work with regional and Stamford teams to create integrated campaigns around key events that leverage all owned and operated media as well as team partnerships to increase engagement
  • Ability to conceptualize, build and present strategic marketing briefs that show a clear strategic path to achieve stated goals
  • In conjunction with the regions, create campaign recaps with a clear POV for go forward recommendations
  • Plan, execute and analyze social/digital media buys to boost local content consumption and app downloads, both planned and impromptu, week in and week out, to support organizational priorities
  • Work with digital and social teams to optimize platforms as well as implement retargeting from site and app, executing buys to maximize opportunities to increase traffic and consumption
  • Understand Paid and Organic Search and how they will help us drive local traffic across platforms
  • Collaborate on subscriber retention and acquisition campaigns for affiliate deals
  • Provide appropriate marketing strategies and guidance to Content, Sales and Creative teams when necessary, in timely fashion; anticipate and plan for any additional or custom deliverables unique to partners
  • Ability to create ROI models to build business cases to support recommendations tied to priorities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with strategic marketing, consulting and/or cross platform integrated promotion related to the sports, media or entertainment industries
  • Experience leveraging organic and paid social media on all relevant platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, including backend knowledge of Facebook Insights and Twitter ads manager
  • Experience conducting and creating meaningful paid digital media buys as well as the ability to create and articulate meaningful go-forward insights from them
  • Experience developing metrics reports and templates for internal and external stakeholders and funders
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and Google Docs
