The AJC Ad Platforms and Business Systems Lead is focused on supporting the sales processes and the systems that support automation for those processes. Acting directly and indirectly as the advertising integration subject matter expert (SME), process analyst (BA) and project manager (PM) for these systems. This includes the day to day operations of the external ad systems to ensure end users are able to operate most efficiently.

Ad Server Support
In-house expert with high level understanding of GAM and DCM
Provide technical support to end-users with questions / issues related to ad serving (display, pre-roll, etc. on site, AMP, apps, etc.)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues and serve as primary contact for all support tickets, utilizing various debugging tools for ads on web and in app (e.g. Charles) to troubleshoot and provide detailed info to Google for resolution when needed
Perform and maintain platform configuration and changes
Assist with new ad implementations and updates on O&O website, apps, etc. (e.g. providing required GAM information, configuration changes, QA, etc.)
Assist with new creative templates and third-party ad tag implementation in GAM

OMS Support
Set up and support the AJC’s ad order management system (s)
Configure records for companies, agencies, users, and products within order management systems, utilizing APIs from various systems (e.g. mapping products from OMS to ad server/GAM)
Promote best practices around OMS and other systems needed to run advertising operations at the AJC
Requirements gathering for projects impacting the ad technology stack, including CMS integration, OMS integration, 3rd party vendor integration, analysis or assessment as needed
Provide insight from OMS product data to AJC operations manager for best practices in ad tagging and ad server network configuration
Ensure OMS continues to meet end user needs across products/solutions
Acting SME for the AJC OMS integration with GAM and other CMG digital products

Reporting Software
Owner of client facing and select internal dashboards
Set up and maintain partner integrations
Work closely with sales leaders to attract new clients, retain and upsell clients by helping to show ROI
Standardize client reporting, automation and distribution
Showcase high performance marketing insights for key accounts

Project Management
Manage (both directly and indirectly) AJC’s Ad Platforms as well as overall sales support projects and initiatives
Manage ad platform project roadmaps, assess details, identify and communicate risks
Communicate project highlights

Business Analyst
Identify, analyze risks, determine actionable steps
Document workflows, define process at various states, across stakeholder groups
Construct process workflow diagrams and system architectural flows

Data Integration Management

Coordinate, collaborate and define data flow across multiple system integrations
Acting SME for various data connections, workflows and systems intended to automate processes for efficiency in digital business operations
Act as and ensure the day to day support for multiple ad systems. This can include but is not limited to: troubleshooting, managing escalations, defining custom solutions, providing technical or systemic guidance

Qualifications
Bachelors or equivalent years’ experience in field
5+ years relevant experience
2 to 5 years in Ad Operations or Digital Media experience preferred supporting a variety of ad serving platforms/systems
3+ years experience working in project management and/or as a business analyst, preferred focus in advertising or technology
Solid understanding of and experience working in/with ad servers (GAM, DCM), browser inspector and debugging tools (e.g. Chrome developer tools, Charles), order management systems (e.g. NCS, Operative), reporting tools (Burt, TapClicks), CRMs (SalesForce), ad security tools (DevCon), systems utilizing SaaS
Strong work ethic
Ability to learn new technology, systems and business processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Ability to complete tasks independently but collaborate within the position's business unit and across external teams
Ability to manage configuration as well as administrative tasks within web-based systems

Preferred Experience
Basic understanding of and experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Hands-on experience with ad trafficking, de-bugging, data collection, ad system integrations (ad server, OMS, reporting tools, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office, including strength with Excel
IAB Digital Ad Ops certification preferred
Any relevant certifications: PROSCI, PMP
