The Sr. Digital Analytics Specialist
is responsible for developing relevant and actionable narratives and insights on behalf of automotive manufacturers as it relates to the influence of their sponsored advertising products. The role provides performance and optimization-related insights for campaigns across Cox Automotive Media Solutions digital properties to enable the sales teams to go to market in a consultative manner. This position analyzes digital media performance and on-site behavioral effects, and is responsible to explore and incorporate other available/new data sources to proactively create and present directly to the client, customized challenger sales presentations, program recaps, and solution recommendations and optimizations to support revenue driving initiatives. This position reports to Sr. Manager, Analytics and work in partnership directly with Sales and other Analytics groups to understand client business issues, to creatively evaluate the Cox Automotive Media solutions/programs designed to address those issues, provide insights into how to improve those solutions/programs, and to build client-facing narratives to bring these insights to life. You will work autonomously to produce creative analytic solutions for non-routine client questions and client-based requests, and develop proactive insights approaches. In this position you will serve as a liaison to Product, Operations, Sales Operations, Analytics, and other internal partners throughout the organization. The Sr. Digital Analytics Specialist interacts with a variety of other internal teams (e.g., Product, Ad Ops) to represent Sales Analytics’ needs (e.g., proper tagging, labeling, data access) to ensure that downstream data capture and insights generation processes are enabled. As the Sr. Digital Analytics Specialist,
you be keep up-to-date with developments in the Digital Analytics field (e.g., tools, techniques, KPIs, trends), and the latest trends in the advertising and automotive industries to ensure that insights and narratives are evaluated in the proper context. Key Responsibilities: Apply expertise with digital analytics technology and data assets to proactively generate unique client-facing insights that support revenue-driving opportunities and protect existing business. Connect insights to these client business issues, and work with Sales teams to bring to life stories/narratives that challenge conventional thinking enable effective interactions with clients to help drive revenue growth.Incorporate understanding of client business issues to creatively evaluate and align the Cox Automotive Media solutions/programs designed to address those issues.Develop client-ready presentations, dynamic dashboards, and reports that provide key insights on KPI performance, utilizing visualization and storytelling techniques and best practices.Inform sales strategies, by proactively providing quantifiable recommendations to drive growth.Present directly to clients and internal stakeholders articulating coherent stories and analytical concepts.Present client insights to internal teams to highlight optimization opportunities and inform the creation of new client product solutions to meet individual client’s specific goals and measurements.Transform analysis into product/industry case studies and best practices to enhance knowledge of internal teams and individuals within the organization (eg: Sales, Product, Finance, and Marketing).
Enhance Analytics Capabilities and Insights:Leads the development and creation of new KPI’s/Reports/Dashboards by leveraging existing and incorporating the use of new datasets and analytics platforms.Lead moderate to large analytics sized projects involving cross-functional teams.Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional peers to formulate plan and execute solutions for analytic needs of the client and internal Sales partners.Manages the development of unique innovative analyses and methodologies that will help support Cox Automotive client revenue goals.Creates queries and basic statistical analysis (SQL, RStudio etc.) to develop analyses in response to inquiries from internal customers and partners.Leverages the latest state-of-the-art data mining tools and modeling techniques while staying abreast of industry-wide best practices.Manages the extraction, analysis and interpretation of site traffic, industry and/or survey data using sophisticated data methods, exploration, analysis, and visualization tools.
Qualifications: Required:Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.5+ years of related analytics experience.Expertise with digital analytics tools and business intelligence systems (e.g. Adobe Analytics Suite, Moat, DFP, Microstrategy, Tableau, Amazon Web Services)Advanced Excel skills required, including custom formula development, functions, pivot tables, and visualization techniques.Proficiency using SQL, Python, or equivalent to capture and manipulate complex datasets.Strong analytical skills, including an understanding of cause and effect and basic statistical methods available to enhance findings. Must be able to understand, analyze data, and synthesize large volumes of data into a coherent narrative or story to answer non-standard/complex questions.Leverage mathematical and statistical principles to inform and validate analyses.Strong communication skills, including experience in clearly and effectively presenting to internal stakeholders.Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere.Experience leading moderate to large analytics projects involving cross-functional teams.Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University.Experience in an automotive, advertising and/or internet environment.
