Nightside News Topical Promotions Producer’s primary responsibilities are to:
Conceptualize, write and edit compelling news promotion copy to promote our evening newscasts on all platforms
Check scripts for accuracy and grammar
Work closely with the Promotions manager on scripts and content.
Work with news managers to organize daily content delivery from the field, for evening newscasts and late newscasts
Coordinate script and storyline with correct video sources and graphics for news promos
Coordinate field reporters to ensure on-time broadcast
Produce and write breaking-news under short deadline Oversee production and execution of topical news promotion
A minimum of 2 years experience working at a top 50 market television station as associate producer or producer
Bachelor's of Arts or Equivalent
Non -Linear Editing Experience required (Adobe Premiere preferred)
A high degree of creativity and accountability
Able to work a flexible schedule and shifts
A team player who loves news and enjoys collaboration
Must be engaged and maintain a positive attitude under deadlines
Must be willing to work at the station in Newton location
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must be 18 years or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
