The Associate Producer is part of the NBC/MSNBC podcast team. The AP will assist across multiple podcasts and other audio projects and will work closely with the executive producer of podcasts and the senior producer of podcasts. The AP will assist with ongoing podcast publishing and assist teams in launching new podcasts. The AP will know how to edit and mix audio will also assist other producers in editing and mixing more complex shows. The AP should have a deep interest in the news and politics.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct research
  • Direct recordings in the studio
  • Write draft scripts
  • Locate, organize and edit audio clips from news sources and the NBC archives
  • Listen to the work of other producers and provide feedback

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 2 years of audio production experience, preferably in podcasting

    Additional Job Requirements:
    • Job is located at NBC’s 30 Rock HQ with occasional travel to Washington D.C.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
