Job Purpose

As a Research Analyst for Insights & Measurement, you will have the opportunity to produce insightful reports for national advertising sales and marketing. You will use syndicated research tools to effectively position the Entertainment and Lifestyle Group networks and content (USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, UKids, CNBC Prime & WWE) in the marketplace. You will report to the Manager of Insights & Measurement, Entertainment & Lifestyle Group.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue by providing actionable insights and compelling stories to best position the Entertainment & Lifestyle Group portfolio in the marketplace
  • Respond to day-to-day research requests from Account Executives, Marketing and Research/Sales Management
  • Contribute to sales materials highlighting the value our audiences to ad partners on-air, digitally and socially
  • Identify brand and category opportunities based on ad spending analyses, audience delivery and profile, and buying behaviors
  • Mine available resources including Nielsen systems (National TV Toolbox/NPower, Nielsen Social, Ad Intel) and other syndicated research tools (including Lake 5, MRI and ListenFirst) to tell stories in new and different ways
  • Participate in larger projects for the broader NBCU portfolio as needed

  • Qualifications

    • Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics or related field
    • Excellent computer skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (formatting, creating charts/graphs, pivot tables and formulas)
    • Background in analytics and knowledge of media math preferred
    • Experience with Nielsen TV Toolbox, Nielsen Ad Intel, TV Brand Effect, MRI, ListenFirst, and ComScore
